This weekend-off we decided to climb to the top Carev Vrv and to use the little snow that had snowed, for one good training, to rustle us after the holiday’s laziness.
At 7:30, me, Bobi and Ziko went for the ski centre Ponikva and after a 100 meters along the poad, we were
accompanied by a hasky. By default we called it Chako and the dog was with us all the time. After a 2 hour walk, we arrived on the place called Lopen (1546 m), where we made a 15 minutes break for breakfast in the mountain cottage. Here begins a sharp climb for about 200 meters and by walking on the ridge, we arrived on the place Markova stapka (1718 m). The whole time of this part, we were in clouds and the visibility was barely 2 meters. That’s why we weren’t so sure if we are on the right path or we had made a mistake at the crossroad, where the paths split into different directions. Even more, there was s newly built house, which wasn’t there the last time Bobi climbed on Carev Vrv.. In the house we took a small break and we decided to go back before the wind had covered our tracks and made a bigger problem with the clouds.
When we came back to Ponikva, we took a cup of tea in the small hotel of uncle Mice and there, on the topographic map, we found out that, not only we were on the right path, but on 3 km from the top. However, I think that we made the right decision to go back, because otherwise, we were to come back in the dark, which was really was unnecessary.
