CLIMBING CAREV VRV (SULTAN TEPE)
It would have been the easiest thing if I would make copy/paste of the previous article for the climbing of Carev Vrv, but now I have to do some correction about weather conditions. The weather this time was absolutely the opposite of the previous time. It was clear, without clouds and with a lot of sun, which reflected on our faces. The route was almost the same as the one we used the previous time, but at the place Markova Stapka, instead of turning towards the house where we arrived the last time, we walked left on the road, where we could see the peak. From that place to the peak we had one more hour to climb. Just in case, we carried snowshoes which we decided to try even do the snow was not very deep. It was a new experience for me and Goran. After a while, I decided to put them in my backpack, and Bobi and Goran made “snowshoes” climbing of Carev Vrv. After four and a half hours of walking, we climbed on the peak where we were welcomed by a strong wind. That was the reason why we looked for a shelter in the towers which are on the peak. We were going round the towers for a while and after that we started our return to Ponikva and after 100-200 meters the wind was gone. We only had to return to Ponikvawhich was the half way down. We had a bet about the exact prognosis of the walking time from a certain point to Ponikva. What else could we do after three and a half hours of monotone walking?! After the obligatory tee in the motel “Kaj Mice” and the tee talks, together with our tiredness, we started another return, this time towards Stip.
